PERSONAL INSPIRATIONS FOR THE CATS OF BUTTERWICK SANDS

I lived and worked in Aberystwyth in mid-Wales for 4 years between 2010 and 2014, to be near my daughter Sonia and my wonderful grandchildren Mariella and Elliot. In reflection, the sea and the mountains were inspirations at this time and coupled with my grandchildren were more than enough to start me on the path to writing THE CATS OF BUTTERWICK SANDS.

In the book, there is an old-fashioned railway station....this is actually based on Borth railway station near Aberystwyth. It is home to Ernie, the Station cat and old George, the Stationmaster.

Cats are amazing, cats really do rock...and roll too !

INSPIRATION FOR TALES OF FUR AND FEATHER

It was absolutely clear to me that Percy, needed and indeed deserved a second book following on from Butterwick, complete with new adventures, new animal characters and settings. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
